Cabbage Rolls are made with cabbage leaves filled with ground beef and rice, with tomato sauce.
Ingredients:
* 12 cabbage leaves
* .
* Filling:
* 1 pound ground beef
* 3/4 cup cooked rice
* 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
* 1 egg
* 2 teaspoons salt
* 1 teaspoon pepper
* 1/2 cup milk
* .
* Sauce:
* 1 cans (8 ounces ) tomato sauce
* 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
* 3 tablespoons sugar
* 2 tablespoons vinegar
* 1/2 cup water
* 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup cold water
Preparation:
Drop cabbage leaves into boiling salted water; cover and cook for 3 minutes. Drain well. For filling, combine ground beef, rice, onion, egg, and salt, pepper, and milk. Mix well and divide into 12 portions. Place a portion into the center of each cabbage leaf. Roll leaf around filling; fasten with toothpick. Place in a baking dish. For sauce, combine tomato sauce, tomatoes, sugar, vinegar, and 1/2 cup of water and pour over cabbage rolls. Bake covered in a preheated 350掳 oven 40 to 45 minutes. Remove rolls and discard toothpicks. Place pan with juices over medium heat or transfer the juices to a saucepan and place over heat; stir cornstarch and water mixture into the sauce; bring to a boil and cook until thickened.
Recipe for cabbage rolls serves 6.

INGREDIENTS
* 2 pounds ground beef
* 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1/2 cup minced onion
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
* 1 teaspoon Italian-style seasoning
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, mix together the beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours.
2. Preheat grill for high heat.
3. Form burgers into 1/2 inch thick patties. Lightly oil grate. Place burgers on grill. Cook for approximately 6 minutes, turning once.I need a Super tastey recipe for cabbage rolls and home-made burgers!!!...I wanna blow their minds with flavor
You can follow a traditional cabbage roll recipe like blondies or you can make unstuffed cabbage rolls like I do---much easier.
Use 1/2 to 3/4 of a cabbage sliced and place the cut cabbage into a glass pie plate with a little water and salt.
Cover pie plate with Saran Wrap and microwave for 10 minutes to pre-cook the cabbage.
Next let's make torpedo shaped meatballs.
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup cooked rice
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 tsp salt-- 1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Mix all ingredients and shape into torpedo shaped meatballs
Fry to brown them in olive oil in a large pot
remove the burgers and set aside.
Use the same pot with the drippings and layer your pre-
cooked cabbage with the burgers
Add 1 lg can of diced tomatoes
and if desired 1 can of tomatoe sauce seasoned
or 1 can of other type of tomatoes with juice
You need tomatoe juice to cover the burgers and cabbage.
To all of this add 1/4 cup real lemon juice and 1 cup brown sugar for a sweet and sour taste.Taste the juice and add onion powder for flavor.
2 tbsp ketchup can be added for flavor.
Stir gently and cook for 1 hour on medium heat or until done.
The flavour is just as good as stuffed cabbage rolls, but less work.
