You could go St. Patty's day and get some corned beef and red potatoes and make corned beef and cabbage. That sounds so good right now!

oh baby, red cabbage. i love it. you can always chop it up and make it into cole slaw. but i suggest you simmer it with some butter and a little sugar, and maybe a splash of cheap beer. add a little vinegar too. a little. let it melt down and enjoy it on the side, on a burger, whatever. it's great. some chopped onions would be great with it too.

I like Braised Red Cabbage with Apples.

Slice the red cabbage. Slice an onion. Saute both together in a little butter without coloring. Add a little cinnamon, a few crushed junipper berries, a couple of peeled, cored and sliced apples, 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, a dessertspoon of brown sugar and season with salt and freshly milled black pepper. Pour in about half a pint of water and bring to the boil. Put a lid on and simmer for 1/2 am hour. Delicious!!
