you can either shred or just dice the cabbage. You fry some bacon until it's crispy, take out the bacon but leave the grease, then you fry the cabbage until it's ever how soft or crisp you like it. You add vinegar and sugar, probably about a quarter cup of each and let it all simmer another 5 minutes or so. Yum.
