2 green bell peppers

3 stalks celery

1 head of green cabbage

1 can diced tomatoes

Knorr Vegetable or Beef Bouillon to taste

Tabasco sauce, if spicy taste is preferred

[edit]Directions

Dice all ingredients up into bite-sized pieces. Put in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, and add boullion. Simmer until vegetables are the consistency that you prefer. For most people, this will be about an hour of simmering. If you like, add hot sauce to taste.

After the soup is done, some people enjoy putting the soup in a blender, and giving it a creamy texture. This is a matter of individual preference, and you may want to try it, just to give the Cabbage Soup Diet a bit of variety. Other individuals report that adding just a touch of parmesan to the top of the creamy soup adds greatly to the flavor. Although this is not in keeping with strict rules of the diet, it is certainly a good idea if you are planning to incorporate the cabbage soup into a longer-term diet plan.

Note: The most popular recipe calls for a packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix. I prefer Knorr, however, the soup mix or any brand of boullion cube should work. Many people use both.Im looking for a real easy to make cabbage soup recipe please?

Quite easy to make:-

1/2 ball of cabbage, depending on how big the pot of soup is

1/2 a kilo of pork ribs

2 to 3 sticks of carrots

1 raddish (white or colored )

Minced meat

(marinate minced meat with corn flour, soya sauce or salt %26amp; pepper)

2. Boil 3 bowls of water and the cleaned pork ribs, add cut carrots ,raddish and cut cabbage. (cut smaller pieces as it will be easier to cook)

3. Simmer for half an hour, make the minced meat into shape of balls and put it in the soup.

4.Season with salt %26amp; pepper, taste.
This is the one I make all the time. I don't measure what I put in...just eyeball everything.

1/2 -1 head of cabbage that's been cut small or shredded thick (depends on how much room you have in your pot)

as many baby carrots as you want, cut in half or in thirds

celery, diced (as much as you want)

1 bunch of green onions, diced

1 can of diced tomatoes

about 2-3 cups of V8 juice

about 4 cups of chicken broth

1 can of black beans, rinsed and drained (optional)

Throw everything into a large pot, add water to cover it. Bring to boil %26amp; simmer for a few hours. No need to saute.

Taste, and add seasoning as you wish...but the broth and V8 should be enough seasoning.
*Easy Stuffed Cabbage Soup

1 lb ground beef

8 cups water

6 teaspoons beef base (or beef bullion cubes)

1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes or diced tomato

1/4 cup dried onion flakes

4 cups cabbage, sliced very thinly, like angel hair coleslaw

1 medium zucchini, cut into small cubes

1/2 cup uncooked brown rice

1.Brown ground beef in skillet, drain and place in soup pot.

2.Add water, beef base (or cubes), dried onion and canned tomatoes.

3.Bring to a boil for about 10 minutes.

4.Add cabbage, zucchini and brown rice.

5.Turn down heat to low, place a lid on soup pot and simmer for about 45 minutes.

6.Add salt and pepper to taste.

#Note: You can substitute canned beef broth for the 'beef base' if you want. I also recommend the low-sodium kind. Also, once the rice is cooked through, if it looks like more water is needed, go ahead and add it to your liking.

*Cabbage Soup

46 ounces plain tomato juice

4 cups cabbage, shredded

1 medium onion, chopped

2 large carrot, cleaned skinned and shredded

Looking for specific pork cabbage roll recipe?

I had these rolls that were basically cabbage wrapped pork a while back, but I have no idea what the specific name of the dish was and what the exact ingredients are. The rolls were slightly sour but they were not flavored with sauerkraut (as I have seen in other recipes online) and I didn't see any red sauce (like tomato sauce). All I know is that I had them at a Korean buffet. Can anyone help me find a recipe that would match this description, or the name of the dish? Thanks!Looking for specific pork cabbage roll recipe?
Pork Stuffed Cabbage Rolls Recipe

Print OptionsPrint (no photos)Print (with photos)

Ingredients

2 lbs sauerkraut

1 large head green cabbage

2 tbsp olive oil

1 cup finely chopped onions

1/4 tsp of finely chopped garlic

1 lb ground lean pork

1/4 cup rice, cooked in boiling salted water (yielding 3/4 cup cooked)

2 lightly beaten eggs

2 tbsp sweet Hungarian paprika

1/8 tsp marjoram

1 tsp salt

freshly ground pepper

1 cup water mixed with 1 cup tomato puree

1 cup sour cream

Method

1 Rinse the sauerkraut in cold water. If needed, soak in cold water 10-20 minutes to reduce sourness. Squeeze dry and set aside. In a large saucepan, bring to a boil enough salted water to cover the cabbage. Add the cabbage, turn the heat to low and simmer 8 minutes. Remove the cabbage and let it drain while it cools enough to handle. Pull off 16 large unbroken leaves and lay them on paper towels to drain and cool further.

2 In a 10-inch skillet, saute the onions and garlic in olive oil, until the onions are lightly colored. In a large mixing bowl, combine the pork, rice, eggs, paprika, marjoram, the onion-garlic mixture, salt and a few grindings of black pepper. Mix well with a fork or wooden spoon.

3 Place 2 tablespoons of the stuffing in the center of one of the wilted cabbage leaves and, beginning with the thick end of the leaf, fold over the sides, then roll the whole leaf tightly, as you would a small bundle. Repeat with more leaves until all the stuffing has been used.

4 Spread the sauerkraut on the bottom of a 5-quart casserole and arrange the cabbage rolls on top of it. Add the water mixed with the tomato puree. Bring the liquid to a boil, then cover the pan tightly and cook the stuffed cabbage over low heat for 1 hour. Transfer the rolls from the casserole to a warm plate. Stir in the sour cream to the sauerkraut. Simmer another 5 minutes. Lift the sauerkraut onto a serving platter with a slotted spoon. Arrange the cabbage rolls on the sauerkraut and pour some of the sauce over them. Serve the rest of the sauce in a sauceboat.

Serves 4-6.
