Besides cabbage rolls and boiled cabbage I'm looking for some nice cabbage recipes.?

Corned beef with cabbage

4 lb corned brisket of beef

3 large carrots, cut into large chunks

6 to 8 small onions

1 teaspoon dry English mustard

large sprig fresh thyme and some parsley stalks, tied together

1 cabbage

salt and freshly ground pepper

Put the brisket into a saucepan with the carrots, onions, mustard and the herbs. Cover with cold water, and bring gently to a boil. Simmer, covered, for 2 hours. Discard the outer leaves of the cabbage, cut in quarters and add to the pot. Cook for a further 1 to 2 hours or until the meat and vegetables are soft and tender.

Serve the corned beef in slices, surrounded by the vegetables and cooking liquid. Serve with lots of floury potatoes and freshly made mustard.

Buttered cabbage

Ingredients1 lb fresh Savoy cabbage

2 to 4 tablespoons butter

salt and freshly ground pepper

an extra knob of butter

Remove all the tough outer leaves from the cabbage. Cut the cabbage into four, remove the stalk and then cut each quarter into fine shreds, working across the grain. Put 2 or 3 tablespoons of water into a wide saucepan, together with the butter and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, add the cabbage and toss over a high heat, then cover the saucepan and cook for a few minutes. Toss again and add some salt, freshly ground pepper and the knob of butter. Serve immediately.

I saute cabbage, simple but I love it. You can make a cabbage/meat casserole. Brown a pound of hamburger with diced onions. Set aside. Thin slice a small head of cabbage, saute until wilted. Retain the juice and combine with the meat and onion mixture, heat through and season with salt, heavy on the pepper and some garlic powder. Mix well. Place in greased 13 x 9 casserole dish, top with biscuits and bake at 350 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes. You can add a can of cream of mushroom soup but if you have enough liquid from the cabbage don't add the soup.
Well, let's see... there's sour kraut, cole slaw, egg roles, and cabbage soup to name a few. Below is a link to several recipes.
