Cabbage recipe baked with tomatoes, caraway seed, onion, garlic and chicken broth, and more cabbage recipes.

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

1 large head cabbage

3 medium tomatoes, diced

1 small white onion, chopped

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon caraway seed

1/8 cup water or chicken stock

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 325掳.

Quarter the cabbage and boil it in a large kettle or Dutch oven for 10 minutes. Remove cabbage sections; place in a shallow baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl; pour over cabbage. Bake for 30 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed. Turn cabbage pieces about halfway through cooking time so wedges cook evenly.
Hillman's Shrimp Cole Slaw

1 large head of cabbage, shredded

1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped fine

1/2 cup onion, chopped fine

1/2 cup celery, chopped fine

1/2 to 1 cup Italian dressing (depending on desired consistency)

2 tsp garlic salt

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion salt

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 lb. small boiled shrimp

Combine veggies and seasonings. Mix Italian dressing and mayonnaise, then pour over salad until desired consistency is reached. Cole slaw should be moist but not soupy. Stir in boiled shrimp. Cover and allow flavors to blend in refrigerator for an hour or so before serving.
You could make some sauerkraut.

Or cook up some cabbage by steaming it, and serving it with butter and caraway seeds (really yummy!).

You can make cabbage rolls: steam the cabbage until it's flexible, and stuff it with a combination of large head cabbage

1 pound ground chuck

1/3 cup rice, raw, can use instant or regular

1 small onion, grated

2 eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 large onion, sliced

1 large can (15 ounces) tomato sauce

3 cans (14.5 ounces each) diced tomatoes

3 to 4 teaspoons lemon juice (1 large lemon)

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 to 1 cup brown sugar
This one is easy, hope that you enjoy.
