Cold cabbage salad recipe?

i need to make something out of cabbage, a cold salad but not the usual coleslaw.


have any great recipes to share?Cold cabbage salad recipe?
How about slaw?


If you want to spiff it up a bit, here's a recipe I posted to go with Buffalo Wings, hence a slaw with blue cheese dressing:


For the Blue Cheese Dressing:





2/3 cup good mayonnaise


1/3 cup sour cream


1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled (plus more for optional garnish)


2 Tbsp minced jalapenos (or tame it down with mild green chilies)


2 Tbsp cilantro, finely chopped


1 tsp chili powder


1 tsp salt


1 Tbsp white wine vinegar


Stir the dressing ingredients together in a large non-reactive bowl.





For the Slaw:





1 medium head of cabbage, shredded


1 small onion, thinly slivered parallel to the core


2 medium carrots, cut in matchsticks


2 stalks celery, cut in matchsticks


1 small red bell pepper, cut in matchsticks


Toss the slaw ingredients in the bowl with the dressing.


The slaw will can be made up to a day ahead and refrigerated. If you make it ahead, toss the slaw again before the final steps.Cold cabbage salad recipe?
This is made witth pkged cabbage %26amp; carrot mix, but you can use fresh.





Pasta Cucumber Salad


7 ounces rotini pasta


3 1/2 cups cole slaw mix - shredded cabbage and carrots, packaged in the produce aisle


1 yellow onion - small sized and finely diced


1 cucumber - seeded and diced, can use more if you desire


1 green pepper - diced


1 cup mayonnaise


1/2 cup sugar


1/3 cup white vinegar


salt and pepper - to taste





Cook pasta according to package directions in a medium sized saucepan. Drain and cool the pasta. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar until smooth.





Place the pasta, cabbage, onions, peppers and cucumber in a serving bowl. Pour the dressing over it and stir to combine. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours for the flavors to blend.

bunch of green onions


1 tomatoe


1 bunch parsley


2 or 3 Tbl. olive oil


2 or 3 Tbl. lemon juice


1 tsp. black pepper


1 tsp. citric acid


1 tsp. salt


1 tsp. cheyenne pepper








chopp or shred cabbage mix chopped parsley chop the green onions, chop tomatoe mix it all together pour olive oil lemon juice, acid citirc, salt, the cheynne pepper and black pepper taste it see if you want it more olive in it or lemoney I just use my own judgement on the taste but its really good.
Cabbage Salad





Cabbage


Equal parts olive oil and white vinegar.


1/2 tsp Pepper





Finely chop cabbage.


Mix olive oil and vinegar in cup. Add pepper.


Pour over cabbage and mix through.
chopped fine cabbage and carrots, and dress with lots of lemon juice, some salt, olive oil and a garlic clove smashed. Mix realllllly well and enjoy.
